Update on Guinnenthon

I still have not heard any specific news about Guinnenthon from Compassion but in searching their site today I was able to locate a list that gave details about each Compassion sponsored location on the island. The list was broken into 3 categories, Not Affected, Moderatly Affected, & Significantly Affected. Guinnenthon's center was listed in the Significantly Affected category. What this means is that his center:

• is located within the official “impact zone” as defined by the United Nations and Haitian government
  


• has reported deaths or injuries to children
  


• has reported significant damage to the church or other facilities
  


• has reported significant damage to children’s homes, with many homes destroyed
